Dock Strim ("Dock Strim", "we", "us" or "our") is a B2B growth agency operating the website dockstrim.com (the "Website"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Finnish Data Protection Act (1050/2018) and other applicable law.
2. What personal data we collect
Data you give us
- Book a Demo form: first and last name, work email, phone/WhatsApp number (optional), company name, website, role, company size, services you are interested in, and your message.
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
- Direct contact: anything you share when you email, call, message us on WhatsApp or LinkedIn.
- Clients: business contact and billing details needed to deliver our services and manage the contract.
Data collected automatically
When you visit the Website, your browser automatically shares technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages requested and the time of the request. Our hosting provider stores this in server logs for security and reliability. The Website also loads fonts and images from third-party services (see section 6), which receive your IP address when your browser requests those files.
We do not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy.

4. How long we keep your data
- Demo requests and enquiries that do not lead to a contract: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted or anonymised.
- Client data: for the duration of the contract and afterwards as long as required by law (for example, Finnish accounting law requires certain records to be kept for up to 10 years).
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Server logs: according to our hosting provider's retention period, typically a few weeks.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers ("processors") that help us run our business, under data processing agreements, such as:
- Website hosting (Hostinger)
- Form handling and email delivery services
- Email, calendar and scheduling tools
- CRM and project management tools
- Accounting and invoicing providers
We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
6. Third-party content on the Website
- Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC): the Website loads the "Poppins" font from Google's servers, which receive your IP address.
- Unsplash (Unsplash Inc.): some photos are loaded from Unsplash's image servers, which receive your IP address.
- LinkedIn and WhatsApp: clicking our LinkedIn or WhatsApp links takes you to those services, where their own privacy policies apply.
7. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), for example in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as an EU adequacy decision (including the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework) or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased ("right to be forgotten");
- restrict or object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interests and direct marketing;
- data portability;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Finland this is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi). You may also contact the authority in the EU country where you live or work.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and reputable service providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.
10. Children
Our services are intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with the "Last updated" date shown above.
